Smith Brothers – Bespoke Exhibition one stand fits all
The background
Smith Brothers had worked with us previously for exhibitions, using a popular Twist system. With the business expanding, the time was right to take their exhibition stand to the next level and invest in a “custom look” fully reconfigurable system for multiple events.
The solution
Two events were in the calendar with different sizes and layouts. The first was All Energy at SEC Glasgow, with a 6×3 stand, requiring a back and right wall. The second was at Solar and Storage at NEC Birmingham, where they required a 7×3 stand, back only space.
Traditionally, having a custom stand for these two shows would normally require two separate stands to be commissioned and built and discarded after each show. However, we were able to provide a solution for a one-off cost that is re-usable.
Our flexible modular solution was easily configured to the different layouts and sizes, saving money and waste. It also provided the “custom look” Smith Brothers required, thanks to the layout capabilities and design features of the systems hardware, coupled with a high level of personalisation from graphics, media and integrated bespoke elements.
More about the stand
For the first event, a 1m graphic panel was added to the side of the stand to create a wall that fitted the space. That panel was then added to the back wall with a change of graphics for the 7×3 stand.
For both stands, a 65” screen was added to the front of the stand playing a presentation. For the stand with the right hand wall, a 32” screen was added to that outer side of the wall so that passers by would see the presentation and graphics, engaging passers by.
A bespoke laminated counter featuring hidden storage was placed at the front of the stand to provide a table for meetings. 240v and USB charging points sat above the counter to provide stand visitors with free phone and laptop/tablet charging.
The top front of the stand featured a logo panel uplit from the pelmet located below it and recessed illuminated literature shelves stored and displayed branded brochures. In addition to these features, a storage room was included to house literature, a coffee machine for hospitality, fridge and coats.
“I approached Advance Digital Graphic to design a new exhibition stand to replace a previous twist design that they had also done for us, as well as designing a new company brochure to be launched at the same time as the exhibition stand. I had a brief idea of what I wanted, but the end result of both the stand and the brochure were far better than I ever imaged could have been achieved. Dan and Debbie were both a pleasure to work with (even despite the tight timescales that I asked them to work to!) and I would highly recommend Advance Digital Graphics.”
